Farmers Easy Mobility Improvised Truck - FEMtruck

Farmers Easy Mobility Improvised Truck aka FEMIT or FEMItruck or FEMtruck

An experimental improvised truck project to ease the high level of smallholder farmers getting stranded after farm work and while taking their agrifood commodities to market...

The truck was fabricated to carry at least 8 farmers without load or 300kg worth of agro commodities.

The scope of the concept was to attach the truck to my second bike, a fairly used motorcycle that we use for farm operations then.

PLACE OF PROJECT/STARTING DATE

Kobape Town, Ogun State.

April, 2019

CHALLENGES LEADING TO STOPPAGE OF THE PROJECT

I initially faced challenges of lack of fund to complete the truck when it was already at about 70% completion.

Some weeks later, the motorcycle was also stolen while parked at the backyard of my lead farm worker.

CURRENT STATUS OF PROJECT

I finally disposed the truck as scrap in March 2021 after over 2 years at fabricators workshop.

Your ignorance, greed and selfishness: the reason you are in poverty!

For those of us who heard it, this is the article Dee Lee was reading this morning on a New York radio station. For those who didn't hear it here is the full detail:

Dee Lee, CFP Harvard Financial Educators

THEY ARE STILL OUR SLAVES We can continue to reap profits from the Blacks without the effort of physical slavery Look at the current methods of containment that they use on themselves: IGNORANCE, GREED, and SELFISHNESS.

Their IGNORANCE is the primary weapon of containment. A great man once said, "The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book." We now live in the Information Age. They have gained the opportunity to read any book on any subject through the efforts of their fight for freedom, yet they refuse to read. There are numerous books readily available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.com, not to mention their own Black Bookstores that provide solid blueprints to reach economic equality (which should have been their fight all along), but few read consistently, if at all.

GREED is another powerful weapon of containment. Blacks, since the abolition of slavery, have had large amounts of money at their disposal. Last year they spent 10 billion dollars during Christmas, out of their 450 billion dollars in total yearly income (2.22%).

Any of us can use them as our target market, for any business venture we care to dream up, no matter how outlandish, they will buy into it. Being primarily a consumer people, they function totally by greed. They continually want more, with little thought for saving or investing.

They would rather buy some new sneaker than invest in starting a business. Some even neglect their children to have the latest Tommy or FUBU, And they still think that having a Mercedes, and a big house gives them "Status" or that they have achieved their Dream.

They are fools! The vast majority of their people are still in poverty because their greed holds them back from collectively making better communities.

With the help of BET, and the rest of their black media that often broadcasts destructive images into their own homes, we will continue to see huge profits like those of Tommy and Nike. (Tommy Hilfiger has even jeered them, saying he doesn't want their money, and look at how the fools spend more with him than ever before!). They'll continue to show off to each other while we build solid communities with the profits from our businesses that we market to them.

SELFISHNESS, ingrained in their minds through slavery, is one of the major ways we can continue to contain them. One of their own, Dubois said that there was an innate division in their culture. A "Talented Tenth" he called it. He was correct in his deduction that there are segments of their culture that has achieved some "form" of success. However, that segment missed the fullness of his work. They didn't read that the "Talented Tenth" was then responsible to aid The Non-Talented Ninety Percent in achieving a better life. Instead, that segment has created another class, a Buppie class that looks down on their people or aids them in a condescending manner. They will never achieve what we have. Their selfishness does not allow them to be able to work together on any project or endeavor of substance. When they do get together, their selfishness lets their egos get in the way of their goal Their so-called help organizations seem to only want to promote their name without making any real change in their community.

They are content to sit in conferences and conventions in our hotels, and talk about what they will do, while they award plaques to the best speakers, not to the best doers. Is there no end to their selfishness? They steadfastly refuse to see that TOGETHER EACH ACHIEVES MORE (TEAM). They do not understand that they are no better than each other because of what they own, as a matter of fact, most of those Buppies are but one or two pay checks away from poverty. All of which is under the control of our pens in our offices and our rooms.

Yes, we will continue to contain them as long as they refuse to read, continue to buy anything they want, and keep thinking they are "helping" their communities by paying dues to organizations which do little other than hold lavish conventions in our hotels. By the way, don't worry about any of them reading this letter, remember, 'THEY DON'T READ!!!!

Can We Prove them (whites) wrong
Please pass this on! After Reading it.

The old man prepared for the best, lazy and cheap Nigerian youths positioned for the worst with excuses!

I was in Lagos last week for some work. Having some free time, I decided to visit the NSE to follow up on the crook that illegally sold my shares. Since I was there, I decided to get registered on the biometrics. NSE has been very innovative I must say.

After the biometrics, I was waiting for my stock position. In walked an old man. White hair but still erect. My phone had died. I saw he had my kind of charger so I politely asked for his.

He handed it over to me. Then he chided me. “Why is your phone dead?” I told him that I was working with it, responding to office mails. He said MY GENERATION WAS FULL OF EXCUSES. I sat up and asked why he thought so. He shrugged and looked away.

A staff at NSE brought his print out. It was long and heavy. I peered and squinted to see the values. The old man was a multi millionaire in stocks.

I took a second look at him. I had never seen him before. He was not popular. So I asked how long he had been purchasing shares? He asked why I asked?

I pointed to 730k GT shares on the print out and others.

He said since 1978. He was putting his will together. He reckoned it was soon going to be time to go. So he wanted to gift his family his earthly acquisitions. His was thinking for the third generation.

“ Are you ill?” He replied in the negative. He was just not sure when the end would come. His was a widower. All he was doing was preparing. “Like you should.” Me? I laughed.

He said this: your lack of anticipating your phone would die, having no charger on you, tells me a lot about your thinking!” “You must always anticipate all possibilities to be successful”!

He shook my hand and got up to go. I stood up, then prostrated before him. I hope those words never leave my heart!

Bless you Baba. May your children value your foresight!

That’s all for today folks. It’s Saturday night! Iya Vero calls.

P.S. AIA's take: Lazy and Cheap Nigerian Youths Positioned for the Worst

The post surfaced at the right time validating my evidence-based perception of the majority of Nigerian youth with poor attitude...in a sense that, for the past 8 weeks, have been engaging 8 Nigerian final year and ND undergraduates on job and business readiness skills including leadership as part of Lifeworth Youth Development Centre of my NGO, AIA Foundation. These youths are nothing but a trash bin of excuses. I even got job for 2 of them and they invented excuses with non chalant attitude until deadline despite the effort I Invested helping them in the application process....oh my God!

My life as an Agriculturist: photos from the field operations

It was a dream to be a versatile professional farmer and agribusiness consultant (in practicing areas) 6 years ago, 2011 precisely. As a lifelong learner struggling day and nights to be a  frontier in not just advanced and contemporary agricultural know-how but a scalable business and innovation centric one, I must say it was a tough but wonderful experience looking at the 6 years of dedication, struggle and travails that garnered the bank of practical (rather than ordinary theoretical) experience in diversified agricultural fields but with present specialization in my 3 most valued areas: 1. Arable Crops, 2. Fishery (breeding/propagation & grow-out), 3. Small Ruminants Husbandary and 4. Cash Produce Trading (Cashew, Cocoa and PKC), with commercialize-able Intellectual Techniques that I personally developed for each areas, to be unveiled one at a time.
